Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav resigns, JSP quits government
KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, has announced his resignation from his position. Yadav tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal this morning, citing the current political situation as the reason for his decision.
Yadav expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Dahal for the opportunity to serve in the government until now. However, he deemed it untenable to continue his cooperation with the government under the prevailing circumstances.
In addition to Yadav, Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Deepak Karki, has also resigned from his post. Consequently, the Janata Samajwadi Party has officially withdrawn its support from the Government of Nepal.
