PM Dahal and Qatar's King Thani to hold bilateral meeting today in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: Today, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to meet with King Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, who is currently on a two-day visit to Nepal. The meeting is set to take place at 10 AM at Hotel Soaltee. Following the meeting, a series of bilateral agreements and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) are expected to be signed between the two countries.
Amrit Bahadur Rai, spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed that six MoUs are on the agenda for discussion with Qatar. These agreements cover various areas including training and cooperation exchanges between government news agencies of Nepal and Qatar, as well as collaboration between the Office of the Attorney General and the Institute of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, agreements concerning education and cultural exchange will be addressed.
After the meeting with the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Dahal will host a luncheon in honor of King Thani at Hotel Dwarika. Later in the afternoon, the King is expected to depart. Prior to this meeting, King Thani had a meeting with President Ram Chandra Paudel, who hosted a dinner to welcome him upon his arrival in Nepal on Tuesday.
