Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Sodari to seek vote of confidence on May 3
KATHMANDU: The Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Dirgha Bahadur Sodari, will seek a vote of confidence on Friday, May 3. This decision emerged from a joint meeting of ruling coalition parties convened at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers on Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, Man Bahadur Dhami, leader of the Maoist Central Province Parliamentary Party, announced that an agreement was reached to hold the vote of confidence for the Chief Minister in the Provincial Assembly on May 3. Additionally, the parties agreed to allocate an additional ministry to the Nagarik Unmukti Party.
According to the agreement, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has been assigned the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives. The decision was made with the participation of representatives from various parties, including the UML, in the joint meeting.
Sodari ascended to the position of Chief Minister with the support of several parties, including the CPN-UML, Maoist Center, and Nagarik Unmukti Party. This upcoming vote of confidence signifies an important step in solidifying his position within the provincial government.
