President Paudel concludes visits to Switzerland and Germany
KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel departed from Berlin, Germany, to Doha, Qatar on Tuesday, concluding his visits to Switzerland and Germany. He was seen off at the Berlin Brandenburg International Airport by Nepal's Ambassador to Germany, Ramkaji Khadka, and senior German government officials, as reported by the President's Personal Secretariat.
Earlier on Tuesday, President Paudel toured East Berlin and visited the Nepali Embassy, where staff emphasized the importance of attracting German investment to Nepal. During this visit, President Paudel also inspected the Nepali diplomatic mission in Berlin.
Accompanied by First Lady Sabita Paudel, high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Office of the President, President Paudel arrived in Germany on June 15 at the invitation of the German President. He met his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in Berlin last Monday, marking the first official visit by a Nepali Head of State to Germany since 1986.
