French Ambassador Virginie Corteval expresses condolences over Nepal’s floods
Virginie Corteval, the French Ambassador to Nepal, expressed her sincere condolences for the loss of life and property brought on by the country's recent floods and landslides. She sent her sincere sympathies to the people and government of Nepal during this sad time.
Ambassador Corteval reaffirmed France's support for Nepal following the natural disaster during a reception hosted at her home to commemorate the two countries' educational collaboration.
She also emphasized the opportunity to fortify bilateral relations even more, especially in the area of education, where mutual cooperation between the two countries can prosper.
The "Choose France Tour Nepal 2024" event was held on September 28 at the Alliance Française in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, and the reception took place on the same day. The purpose of the event was to draw Nepali students who were considering studying in France.
Ph.D. programs and scholarships at prestigious French universities were among the advanced education options on display during the event.
There were presentations by representatives of 17 elite universities, including Grandes Ecoles, covering subjects including engineering, humanities, administration, design, and the arts.
The French Embassy collaborated with Campus France to host the event, which offered services for Nepali students such as help on visa application, scholarship information, and counseling sessions.
The program provided attendees with invaluable insights into French student life, giving it an important chance for Nepali students considering studying overseas.
