Embassy of Nepal and NTB host successful tourism promotion event in Bangkok
On Thursday, the Nepal Embassy in Bangkok and the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) co-hosted a tourism promotional event in Thailand's capital. According to the Embassy, 75 enterprises took part in the initiative, including 25 travel and tour operators from Nepal and 50 from Thailand.
Participants included Nepal Airlines Corporation, Thai Airways, Thai Lion Air, the Thai government, business executives, journalists, the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and stakeholders.
The Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, invited the participants to engage in the various business opportunities in Nepal's tourism industry. He has highlighted the beautification of Nepal as a destination with potential attractions for all kinds of visitors, like cultural and heritage tourists, nature tourists, pilgrims, adventurers, and others.
The Embassy reminded the importance of these kinds of business meetings in creating opportunities for networking, developing partnerships, and exchanging information between the business communities of Nepal and Thailand to harness those potentials that exist in tourism.
The program had the sharing of personal experiences of Nepal and the Himalayas with the first Thai Everest Summiteer in 2008, Vitidnan Rojanapanich, who is also the President of the Thai-Nepal Friendship Association. Similarly, Nabin Pokharel of NTB delivered a presentation on 'Experience Nepal: Lumbini to Himalayan Bliss', that included most of the major tourist attractions and experiences in Nepal.
