Tikapur Hospital launches Hemodialysis service
KATHMANDU: Tikapur Hospital has launched its Hemodialysis service, a significant development long awaited by the community. Dr. Sandesh Pandit, leading the initiative with an investment of 40 million rupees, expressed satisfaction at the service's commencement. The hospital has prepared by training one specialist doctor, four nursing staff members, and two assistants to handle operations.
Dr. Pandit noted that the service is currently capable of accommodating up to four patients daily, with plans to gradually expand operations to full capacity. This new facility at Tikapur Hospital is seen as a crucial relief for local patients who previously had to travel to Dhangadhi or Nepalgunj, and sometimes even Kathmandu, for dialysis treatment.
The introduction of dialysis services locally is expected to improve accessibility and convenience for patients in Tikapur and surrounding areas, significantly reducing the burden of traveling long distances for essential medical care.
