The transition from the existing 15-bed Janasewa Community Hospital, previously managed by Janasewa Society Nepal Jalpa, to the municipal hospital was confirmed by Ward-12 Chairperson Dan Bahadur Rai. The community hospital, initiated through local contributions and volunteer labor around 12 years ago, has now been upgraded.

This transfer aims to enhance healthcare accessibility for the local population.
The integration of services from health posts within Jalpa into the municipal hospital framework has been organized to streamline healthcare delivery. Following the official handover of the infrastructure and equipment valued at Rs 35 million, the municipal hospital began its operations last Wednesday.
To formalize the establishment and operational procedures of the municipal hospital, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the municipality and Janasewa Community Hospital Jalpa, facilitating the transition and collaboration between the two entities.
