
Bhavish Aggarwal invests Rs 2,000 Cr to develop Krutrim AI Labs
Ola’s founder and chief, Bhavish Aggarwal, has reported the launch of the Krutrim AI Labs to create artificial intelligence particularly designed for India.
As portion of this activity, he has committed an initial investment of Rs 2,000 crore, with a bigger commitment of Rs 10,000 crore by another year. The financing will be utilized to set up the AI lab and create progressed AI models tailored for Indian users.
According to Aggarwal, Krutrim AI Labwill address challenges related to Indic languages, data scarcity, and social context.
"While we’ve been working on AI for a year, today we’re discharging our work to the open-source community and too distributing a number of specialized reports. Our center is on creating AI for India—to improve AI for Indian languages, data scarcity, and social setting," Aggarwal shared on X (formerly Twitter).
As portion of its open-source activity, Krutrim is discharging different AI models, counting Krutrim 2, an upgraded LLM; Chitrarth 1, a Vision Dialect Show; Dhwani 1, a Discourse Language Model; Vyakhyarth 1, an Indic embedding model; and Krutrim Translate 1, a text-to-text interpretation show. Furthermore, Krutrim has introduced BharatBench, a devoted benchmark for assessing Indic AI performance.
