InRed Labs Leads Nepal’s Proactive Cybersecurity Push
With Nepal's digital landscape rapid expansion, the exposure to cyber threats has also widened alongside the alternative approaches to prevent cyber risk. The banks, government offices and private/entities sectors continue to invest in audits and security checks, yet data breaches and cyber incidents continue to persist and persistently threaten to disrupt the market. InRed Labs, a startup founded and led by Shusil Phuyal, has formed a cyber defence company that has built its process around "defend by offence" with realistic cyber simulations.
While businesses traditionally react by looking through CCTV for incident inducers, InRed Labs products proactively test the defence by attempting to cut through defence using hacker strategies like social engineering, phishing attempts and physical threats to identify weaknesses as they relate to people, processes and technology.
One of the key points of satisfaction with clients relates to the speed and efficiency. InRed Labs avoids the concept of producing 40 - 50 page reports after 3 - 4 weeks of testing, but instead alerts the client with updates immediately on the live defence test either through GitLab or GitHub. This allows software teams and security teams to start remediation without delay and usually saves the company time and money in the range of 25% - 50%.
The company offers a variety of one-off services such as vulnerability assessments & penetration testing, red teaming, code review, dark web monitoring, incident response and ISO 27001 compliance support and subsequently encourages awareness with podcasts and easy-to-digest videos for the public.
InRed Labs has a team of 15 and has partnered with organizations such as Karobar App and Digital Age Nepal in a comprehensive approach to elevate Nepal's profile in global cybersecurity and attract more international investment.
