
NAC, Japan Airlines Partner for Global Connectivity
KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) and Japan Airlines have signed a bilateral interline agreement that allows passengers to order tickets for international destinations. Enhancing Nepal Airlines passengers' global connectedness is the aim of this partnership.
As per the agreement, travelers will be flown by NAC to Japan's Narita International Airport, from where they may easily switch to Japan Airlines planes to continue their journey to the United States, Europe, Korea, and other locations. Additionally, passengers will gain from expedited luggage check-in procedures, which will facilitate international travel.
The deal is expected to aid the tourism sector in Nepal as it provides all international tourists easier access through a common network of airlines. Said Nepal Airlines spokesperson Ramesh Poudel, The deal will help the airline expand its business and therefore foreign cash inflow to the country.
After all the necessary planning and deliberations led by the Market Management Department and Executive Chairman Yubaraj Adhikari of Nepal Airlines, the agreement was finally signed. The authorities within both parties hope that through their respective national carriers, this alliance will help trade between Nepal and Japan.
Nepal Airlines has interline agreements with 25 passenger airlines, enabling better global connectivity. Additionally, 28 airlines currently collaborate with NAC to move cargo.
As the size of its fleet increases over the coming years, Nepal Airlines is certain that its global network will continue to expand, strengthening its position in the world aviation market.
