U.S. Sends 10 Nepali Deportees Back to Nepal in Charter Flight
KATHMANDU: Ten Nepali nationals who were living in the US illegally have been deported. A charter plane that had taken out from Portsmouth International Airport in New Hampshire and arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport at 10 AM took them back to Kathmandu.
The Trump administration's policy of expelling unauthorized immigrants is being followed with this deportation. This deportation brings the total number of Nepali nationals returned to Nepal under these orders to 37, including 27 previously returned persons.
It's interesting to note that this is the first time Nepali nationals have been left off in Nepal directly; in the past, deportations have sent them to third nations first.
6 American citizens will be transported back to the United States by charter flight.
