Cholera cases rise to 23 in Nepal
KATHMANDU: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) of the Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed one new case of cholera patient in Dhangadhi, Kailali. This raises the total number of cholera cases reported to 23.
In Kailali alone, there are now eight confirmed cases of cholera. Additionally, 14 cases have been reported in various areas of Lalitpur, and one case has been identified in Tokha, Kathmandu.
Every affected individual is receiving treatment, and their situation has improved significantly. Cholera typically spreads through the contamination of drinking water or food with pathogens.
