British Education Group acquires Maritime Business College in Nova Scotia, Canada
KATHMANDU: The British Education Group has expanded its portfolio to include the Maritime Business College (MBC) in Nova Scotia, Canada. The British Education Group also owns the British College in Kathmandu, Nepal. MBC, established in 1899, has a long history of providing education with a career focus. MBC is recognized for its high-quality programs and ability to accept international students, having been accredited as a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) by the Canadian Ministry of Education.
Through this acquisition, The British Education Group hopes to improve the quality of education it provides by adding more courses that are comparable to those offered at The Woolwich College, its campus in London. This strategic move is expected to facilitate seamless credit transfers between its campuses in Nepal, Dubai, and now Canada, providing students with enhanced global opportunities and experiences.
Rajen Kandel, CEO of the British Education Group, emphasized their commitment to creating global citizens through this acquisition. He expressed gratitude to all parties involved in the lengthy acquisition process, particularly acknowledging the support from the Canada-based Nepalese community. The group, which operates multiple educational institutions worldwide, sees this acquisition as a pivotal step towards furthering educational excellence and global integration.
