PM Dahal directs Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences to proceed with MBBS curriculum
KATHMANDU: During the seventh assembly of the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences (PoAHS) on Wednesday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ directed the institution to proceed with the curriculum of MBBS as planned. Emphasizing the importance of implementing the MBBS curriculum in the upcoming fiscal year, PM Prachanda envisioned the PoAHS becoming a cornerstone in medical education.
PM Prachanda highlighted the significance of the PoAHS operating efficiently, stating that it would mark a significant milestone in medical education within the academy. He expressed optimism that the institution would evolve into a reputable and robust medical establishment, particularly with the introduction of post-graduate medical studies.
The Prime Minister articulated his expectations for the PoAHS to emerge as a dependable provider of quality healthcare services and a producer of skilled medical professionals for the nation. Despite economic constraints, PM Prachanda underscored the government's commitment to prioritizing the development and expansion of the PoAHS within the healthcare sector.
PM Prachanda called for collective support to ensure the success of the PoAHS, expressing hope that the institution would become a source of pride for the residents of Pokhara. He envisaged the Academy establishing itself as a model educational institution for medical studies nationwide. Recognized as the largest hospital in the Gandaki region, the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences holds significant potential for advancing medical education and healthcare services.
