KU launches first Bachelor's Level course in Aviation Management
KATHMANDU: An Aviation Management Bachelor's Level course is being introduced by Kathmandu University (KU). The program will be the first of its type in Nepal and will be administered by the School of Management in collaboration with Simrik Venture and Siddhartha Banasthali School.
33 students will be enrolled in the first affiliate of the four-year program this year. According to Rameshwor Thapa, chairman of Venture, the course is intended to provide knowledge and abilities in aviation operations and the efficient management of airlines and airports.
Topics include aviation legislation, security, planning and management of airports, marketing for the aviation industry, airline operations, aviation economics, the value of tourism, and human resource management will all be covered in the curriculum. Thapa underlined that these seminars will provide hands-on instruction in aviation activity management.
Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Vice Chancellor of KU, highlighted that the course aims to produce skilled human resources in Nepal. "This is Nepal's first effort at it. We are certain that Nepal can produce qualified human resources in this field", he added.
