
Motorcyclist Missing After Crash Into Trishuli River
KATHMANDU: Divers from the Armed Police Force (APF) have been sent in to look for a missing biker who was involved in an accident along the Narayanghat-Kathmandu road segment and fell into the Trishuli River. A search was launched right away after the tragedy in Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan.
The accident took place on Friday morning when a motorcycle (Ba Pra-06-02 Pa 9204) crashed into a road divider, causing the rider to fall into the river. Authorities are working to locate the missing individual, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
At the accident site, police discovered citizenship and identity documents belonging to 27-year-old Rohit Rana. He is originally from Chandreshwar Rural Municipality-3 in Lamjung but had been residing in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Chitwan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa from the District Police Office, Chitwan, confirmed that a search operation is underway. APF divers have been mobilized to locate Rana in the river, with efforts being intensified.
A team of six divers from the APF’s Nepal Disaster Management Training School in Kurintar, led by APF Inspector Surya Ram Raut, has joined the mission. Authorities continue their efforts to recover the missing rider as the search operation progresses.
