Nepal set to face UAE for FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers
The second leg of the Asian Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2026 second-round qualifications will see Nepal face against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) at 9:45 p.m. The game will begin in Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Fayed Stadium. Nepal will represent their country in Saudi Arabia as they are unable to stage international matches at Dashrath Stadium.
Nepal lost 4-0 against the UAE in their previous match. Due to stadium conditions, Nepal played against Yemen on June 11 in Saudi Arabia as part of their preparations. Prior to that, they had played against Bahrain at the same location. Nepal has had a difficult trip in Group H, but they are still committed to doing well.
Nepal has suffered losses of 5-0 and 3-0 against Bahrain in addition to setbacks of 4-0 and 2-0 against the UAE and Yemen. The Nepali team's starting lineup consists of goalkeepers Kiran Kumar Limbu, Abishek Baral, and Bishal Sunar. Midfielders Bharat Khawas, Laken Limbu, Mani Kumar Lama, Manish Dangi, Sumit Shrestha, Basanta Zimba, and Ashish Rai.
