Victims of cooperative fraud case display black flags to PM Dahal in Pokhara, 11 arrested
KATHMANDU: During a visit to Pokhara for a party event, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal faced a confrontation with victims of the Surya Darshan Cooperatives, who displayed black flags and banners while chanting slogans. As the Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), PM Dahal was met with dissent from the protesters, signaling their discontent over the cooperative fraud case.
In response to the protest, police took action by arresting 11 individuals involved in the demonstration. Additionally, the protest resulted in two people sustaining injuries, requiring them to seek medical treatment at local hospitals. The display of black flags and the subsequent arrests underscored the intensity of emotions surrounding the cooperative fraud issue in Pokhara.
