Home Ministry directs prompt recall of security personnel from personal duties
KATHMANDU: The Home Ministry of Nepal has issued directives to the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, instructing them to recall security personnel currently deployed for personal security duties within the next 24 hours, except for those deployed in accordance with regulations.
This directive aims to streamline security operations and ensure the efficient utilization of security personnel. The Ministry has emphasized the immediate withdrawal of personnel assigned to personal security duties, with the exception of those tasked with protecting distinguished individuals.
In addition to the recall of personnel, the Ministry has mandated the provision of detailed information regarding the recalled individuals. Furthermore, it has warned that the salaries of personnel failing to comply with the recall directive will be frozen, and their names may be publicly disclosed.
