Madhes Province to enhance service delivery with e-governance and IT integration
KATHMANDU: Madhes Province is preparing to significantly improve its service delivery through the adoption of Information Technology (IT), focusing on enhancing e-governance. A recent discussion at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers highlighted plans to implement IT practices to streamline public services and make them more efficient and user-friendly.
Dr. Sohan Sah, Vice-Chairperson of the Madhes Province Policy and Planning Commission, outlined that the digitalization initiative will start with government offices and gradually involve all stakeholders, including service recipients. The rollout will begin with four local governments and offices that handle a high volume of service interactions.
Sah emphasized that integrating data-based results and development partnership programs into the e-governance framework could lead to substantial improvements in governance. He expressed optimism that IT solutions will foster greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public service delivery within the province.
