Saroj Guragain appointed new Chief Administrative Officer of KMC
KATHMANDU: On Monday, Saroj Guragain will formally assume his position as the Chief Administrative Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC). His appointment comes after a September 12 Cabinet decision that saw him removed from his prior position leading the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies' "Prosperity Project."
Pradeep Pariyar, who was previously the Chief Administrative Officer, has been moved to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This shift in leadership is a reflection of continuous changes in government administration.
When Guragain was appointed, he emphasized how vital it was to preserve Kathmandu's honor and reputation. He stressed that the city can only be further elevated by competent administrative and management practices along with effective leadership strategies.
Guragain's dedication to boosting KMC operations suggests an emphasis on raising the general governance and administrative effectiveness of the city with the goal of promoting urban growth and development.
