Nirmal Rai elected President of JSP's Khotang District chapter
KATHMANDU: Nirmal Rai has assumed the position of President within the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Khotang district chapter, succeeding Ashok Rai. This decision was reached during a JSP meeting convened at the District Coordination Committee office in Diktel on Saturday. Rai, who previously served as the Vice President during the formation of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, has been entrusted with the role of president.
Under Rai's leadership, a 111-member district working committee has been elected by the JSP. Gururaj Rai and Nainkala Rai have been appointed as vice presidents, while Birendra Darnal has been designated as Secretary. Additionally, Tikaram Rai, Shantikala Rai, and Pritiraj Rai have been selected as Joint Secretaries, with Gandhaman Rai serving as Treasurer.
The newly-formed District Working Committee also includes members such as Agniprasad Rai, Mugadhan Rai, Dilliraj Rai, and others. The meeting saw the presence of notable figures like Council member Rakesh Rai and Samajbadi Students' Union Central General Secretary Prakash Chamling Rai, alongside other committee members like Devraj Rai, Ramesh Rai, and San Bahadur Rai.
