President Paudel to attend Global Coalition Forum in Switzerland
KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to embark on an international tour beginning with Switzerland, where he will participate in the inaugural Forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice during the High-level Segment of the 112th Session of the International Labour Conference. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that President Paudel will deliver a keynote address at the Forum on June 13. Additionally, he is slated to engage in bilateral discussions with Swiss President Viola Amherd on June 12.
Following his engagements in Switzerland, President Paudel will proceed to Germany, where he will undertake an official visit starting from June 15 at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Scheduled for June 17, the President will hold formal talks with his German counterpart as part of strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Accompanying President Paudel on his visit will be his spouse, Sabita Paudel, along with a delegation comprising Dr. Suresh Chandra Chalise, Foreign Affairs Expert to the President, the Secretary of the Office of the President, the Foreign Affairs Secretary, and Nepal’s Ambassadors to Switzerland and Germany. The delegation aims to bolster diplomatic relations and explore avenues for cooperation in various sectors during the President’s visit.
President Paudel is expected to conclude his overseas tour and return to Kathmandu on June 19, as outlined by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
