KATHMANDU: On Thursday afternoon, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli left for Kathmandu after wrapping up his four-day official visit to China. His visit, which was arranged at Chinese Premier Li Qiang's invitation, was a major step toward deepening Nepal-China relations.

Senior representatives from the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, together with Chinese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Sun Weidong and Nepali Ambassador to China Krishna Prasad Oli, said Prime Minister Oli's farewell during the farewell ceremony at Beijing Capital International Airport. He is anticipated to reach Kathmandu later today.

Meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping were among the high-level talks with Chinese leaders that took place during the visit. A framework agreement on the Belt and Road partnership was among the agreements signed during bilateral meetings between Prime Minister Oli and his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, further solidifying the two countries' partnership.

Prime Minister Oli also spoke at Peking University in Beijing as a keynote speaker. In his speech, "Comprehensive Democracy: A Journey towards Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali," he highlighted Nepal's democratic achievements and aspirations for sustainable development.

The Prime Minister also touched on the potential for greater economic collaboration between China and Nepal in his remarks at the China-Nepal Business Summit. The political, economic, and cultural relations between China and Nepal are said to have improved as a result of his visit.
