KP Oli set to be appointed as Nepal's Prime Minister today
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will become Nepal's next Prime Minister at 5 p.m. today. This evening, the President's Office started preparations for his appointment. President Ram Chandra Paudel will officially appoint Oli to the office at the allotted time, according to his Secretariat.
Oli's appointment as PM was ratified by the Nepali Congress according to Article 76(2) of the Nepali Constitution. According to the President's Office, Oli will take the oath of office and secrecy tomorrow at 11 a.m. after his appointment. Oli's newly appointed Cabinet members will take the oath of office on this day.
