Govt Reform Centre Planned for Better Governance: Pokhrel
KATHMANDU: CPN-UML general secretary Shankar Pokhrel announced that a Government Reform Center would soon be established in the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM). Creating the national vision of a "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" and promoting improved governance are the goals of this endeavor.
Pokhrel emphasized the significance of the proposed Center in improving government service delivery and operational efficiency during a press event in Janakpurdham. It would be essential in meeting the demands of the country and its citizens, he said.
Along with the establishment of units in each government office, Pokhrel disclosed that plans are in motion to open the Center at the OPMCM. The goal of this all-encompassing strategy is to include reforms across the administrative structure.
He emphasized that the plan is supported by the coalition of two main political parties and connected it to the present government's commitment to fulfilling public expectations. This, according to Pokhrel, is evidence of the government's dedication to efficient governance.
As a result of recent administrative efforts, the General-Secretary claimed that government agencies are now offering better services than they did in the past. He presented the Center as an extension of these advancements.
Pokhrel went on to say that the country's investment climate has directly improved as a result of government actions. According to him, these measures are fostering an atmosphere that supports economic expansion and advancement.
The government's larger emphasis on enhancing administrative capacities and fostering public trust in state institutions is reflected in the creation of the Government Reform Center.
