Bird strike forces emergency helicopter landing
KATHMANDU: A bird strike prompted a Heli Everest chopper traveling from Lukla to Kathmandu to make an emergency landing in Sanga. Six people, including the pilot, were on board the 9N-AKG helicopter when the event occurred.
Following the bird strike, the pilot made the decision to land right away in a secure area in order to minimize any additional hazards, according to a senior official from Heli Everest. The passengers and staff were unharmed throughout the event, according to airport sources.
