In the domestic market today, the price of gold has risen to its highest level to date.

The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association reports that the price of the yellow metal has risen by Rs 1,400 today to Rs 176,200 from Rs 174,800 per tola (11.66 grammes) on Thursday.
The current price of gold on the global market is Rs 3073 USD per ounce.
In a similar vein, the price of silver rose by Rs 20 per tola today, hitting Rs 2,040 on the local market.
