Tribhuvan University to cancel exams for students using AI tools
KATHMANDU: Artificial intelligence (AI) tool use during exams is strictly prohibited, according to a guideline established by Tribhuvan University. Students who are caught using these tools will have their tests immediately canceled. A notification that was made public on Tuesday explained this decision.
The Examination Reform Committee convened and made a decision on the resolution under the guidance of Rector Khadga KC. The committee emphasized how important it is to protect test standards and academic integrity.
Apart from the AI policy, the meeting also decided to provide extra exam chances to students who haven't taken their semester or yearly exams by the deadline since 2012.
This measure aims to ensure student support and equity, while also addressing the potential misuse of technology in academic exams.
