NEB begins nationwide SEE grade increment examination with 210,000 participants
KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) is commencing the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) grade increment exams today to accommodate students who did not pass the regular SEE. These exams provide an opportunity for students to improve their grades, addressing a need for those who received a 'No Grade' (NG) or were absent during the regular exams.
The exams will start at 11 a.m., with a total of 210,000 examinees participating. NEB has designated 550 centers across the country for conducting these supplementary exams. This initiative aims to provide students another chance to succeed and progress academically.
Nandalal Paudel, the Controller of Examinations (Grade 10) at the Board, highlighted the significance of this opportunity for students who previously faced academic setbacks. The initiative allows students to enhance their grades, giving them a second chance to meet educational requirements and continue their studies.
This is the first time such an opportunity is being extended to all failed students, made possible by the efforts of former Education Minister Sumana Shrestha. Previously, only students who received NG in up to two subjects were eligible for grade enhancement exams. The new policy marks a significant step in supporting students' academic progress.
