KATHMANDU: The National Examination Board (NEB) has revealed the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Only 47.86% of the 444,785 students who took the examination passed, with 186 achieving a GPA of four. According to the National Examination Board, 242,920 pupils are presently qualified for enrollment in Grade 11.

This year, a significant 52.14% of the examinees were classified as non-graded (NG). This classification was due to a new policy requiring students to score at least 35% in the theoretical (written) portion of each subject to avoid being ungraded.

The results have been released following the Letter Grading Guideline-2078, which covers first-time SEE test takers under the revised syllabus. The announcement, which was originally set for Wednesday, was postponed due to technical challenges and is now being published today.

In general, 467,000 students took part in the normal SEE tests, which began on March 28, with an extra 21,000 doing grade improvement examinations.
