6 arrested in Kathmandu for impersonating candidates in police constable exam
KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have apprehended six individuals suspected of impersonating candidates during the police constable exam. Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari of the District Police Range in Kathmandu disclosed that the arrests were made on Saturday at various examination centers across Kathmandu.
Among those arrested, 22-year-old Abhisekh Shahi from Kalikot was caught taking the exam in place of Rit Shahi. Similarly, Ishak Tamang from Kanchanpur was found sitting in the exam on behalf of Hikmat Bahadur Thapa, and Tripti Sundas from Dolakha was attempting the exam using the name Sharmina Shahi.
Additionally, Roshan Khatri appeared for the exam posing as Paras Budha, Rabindra Mahara from Darchula was caught impersonating Sabin Mahara, and Dinesh Chand from Baitadi was arrested for attempting the exam under the identity of Pradip Basyal.
The arrests were carried out at different circles of Nepal Police, with three individuals apprehended from Baneshwor Circle, three from Gaushala Circle, and one from Singhadurbar Circle. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
