Tourism promotion event in Chengdu encourages Chinese visitors to Nepal
A tourism promotion event was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, aimed at encouraging Chinese citizens to visit Nepal. Organized on Thursday, the event saw a gathering of over 200 attendees, including hotel entrepreneurs from both Nepal and China, members of the Nepali community in Chengdu, media representatives, and Chinese tourists. This initiative was coordinated by the Consulate General of Nepal in Chengdu in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board and the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN).
During the event, Nepal's Consul General in Chengdu, Suresh Raut, urged the Chinese community, especially tourism entrepreneurs, to consider visiting Nepal. He assured them of efforts to ensure convenience and hospitality for Chinese tourists throughout their stay in Nepal. This commitment underscores Nepal's dedication to enhancing tourism ties between the two countries.
Binayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association of Nepal, expressed eagerness among Nepali tourism entrepreneurs to welcome an increasing number of Chinese tourists. He emphasized their commitment to providing high-quality hospitality services that meet international standards.
Additionally, during the event, the Hotel Association of Nepal and Sichuan Travel Agency signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering mutual cooperation. This agreement seeks to enhance collaboration between the tourism sectors of Nepal and Sichuan Province, promoting tourism exchanges and facilitating smoother travel experiences for tourists from both countries.
