Kathmandu set to host International Tourism Fair featuring participants from 16 countries
KATHMANDU: Beginning Friday, Kathmandu will host an International Tourism Fair aimed at promoting the country’s tourism industry on a global scale. Organized by Summit Event and Market, the fair will showcase tourism entrepreneurs from 16 countries, featuring over 150 stalls representing businesses from these nations. Bishnu Pandey, the proprietor of the organizing organization, expressed optimism about the fair's potential to contribute to sustainable tourism development and cultural exchange in Nepal.
Participants from Nepal, India, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Maldives, USA, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, China, Thailand, Dubai, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Bhutan will converge at the event, reflecting a diverse international presence. Additionally, stalls representing all seven provinces of Nepal will be on display, providing a comprehensive overview of the country's tourism offerings.
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) are extending their support to the fair, highlighting the collaborative efforts to promote tourism in Nepal. The venue for the event will be Bhrikutimandap, providing a central location for visitors and participants to engage in discussions, networking, and exploration of tourism opportunities.
