Gandaki Province completes 20 new motorable bridges in the last FY
KATHMANDU: In the last fiscal year, the Gandaki Province Government completed the construction of 20 motorable bridges. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management announced that these bridges are designed to be operational year-round.
The distribution of the bridges is as follows: Gorkha and Tanahun districts each received eight bridges, Nawalpur and Baglung got six each, while Myagdi and Kaski received four each. Additionally, Lamjung and Manang each saw the completion of two bridges.
Dr. Mahendra Baniya, Acting Director of the Infrastructure Development Directorate, noted that notable projects included bridges over Bhutekhola and Bijayapurkhola in Kaski. Nawalpur saw the development of three bridges, including those over Niramdikhola, Jayashreekhola, and Girbarikhola. In Baglung, bridges were constructed at Righa Sarpechunga, Gaudikhola, and Chuktikhola.
