Buddha Air increases Kathmandu-Varanasi flights to meet growing passenger demand
KATHMANDU: Buddha Air began operating extra flights on the Kathmandu-Varanasi route on Wednesday, expanding its operations. The airline will now operate three regular commercial flights each week in place of its previous Monday and Friday flight schedule.
The decision to expand flights was motivated by growing passenger demand, according to Buddha Air's information officer, Dipendra Kumar Karn. The extra flights are meant to handle the spike in demand that the approaching holidays of Dashain and Tihar, along with the impending travel season, will cause in travel.
Prior to this change, Buddha Air was operating only two flights per week on this route. The increased frequency aims to better serve the needs of passengers during this busy period.
