14 climbers granted permits to ascend Dhaulagiri Himal in Myagdi
KATHMANDU: A group of fourteen climbers who have been granted permission to scale Dhaulagiri Himal can reach it at Myagdi, Nepal. The seventh highest peak in the world is Dhaulagiri, which is situated in Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-4.
The Department of Tourism attested to the fact that all of the participants in the party were male mountain climbers who had obtained climbing licenses for the trip. This is in addition to a larger group that was granted permission to climb Dhaulagiri last spring and consisted of 22 men and 8 women.
The climbers, along with Sherpas, guides, porters, and support staff, are currently getting ready to arrive at the base camp for their ascent, according to Hari Prasad Tilija, a hotelier at the Italy Base Camp and ward member of Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4.
There has been an increase in climbing activity in Nepal, as revealed by the Department of Tourism, which reported that 274 men and 88 women from 54 countries had obtained licenses to climb 10 mountains there this year.
The rise of climbers is a direct result of the global interest in Nepal's breathtaking peaks and the range of travel opportunities they present.
