Nepali national cricket team returns home after winless ICC T-20 World Cup matches
KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team returned back home today after participation in the ICC T-20 World Cup. The team, which competed against different matches in America and the West Indies, arrived back in Kathmandu early Thursday morning.
Nepal's World Cup journey ends in the group stage itself without a single victory. The country returned to this event after 14 years. In the final match, Bangladesh won by 21 runs. Once again, Nepal missed the victory and sealed its exit from the competition.
Their last matches were a 6-wicket defeat at the hands of the Netherlands, a game with Sri Lanka that ended in a draw due to rain, and a close 1-run loss to South Africa. South Africa went on to top the group with Bangladesh making it to the Super 8 from Nepal's group.
