National Players' Welfare Fund provides financial assistance to karate athletes for medical treatment
KATHMANDU: Two karate players have received financial support for their medical treatment from the National Players' Welfare Fund. Bipin Raj Singh Darji, who has kidney issues, earned Rs 75,000, and Siddiqi Taj Babbar, who was hurt in a car accident, received Rs 150,000.
The checks were handed over to the players by Tankalal Ghising, the chairman of the fund and member secretary of the National Sports Council.
Present at the event were Deepak Shrestha, member secretary of the fund and president of the Nepal National and International Players Association, along with Deepak Bista, director of national team preparations.
Also attending was Rajendra Ratna Tuladhar, deputy director of the Sports Science Institute Academy of Nepal (SAN) and head coach for physical conditioning, to show support for the injured athletes.
