ANFA awards Rs 50,000 to each member of Nepal’s SAFF U20 runner-up team
KATHMANDU: Nepal finished second in the 2024 SAFF U20 Championship, held at the ANFA Complex from August 18 to August 28. Nepal lost to Bangladesh in the final. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) awarded Rs 50,000 to each player of Nepal's SAFF U20 team for their achievements.
In addition to the financial reward, ANFA has chosen to distribute 20% of ticket sales proceeds to players and match officials. This payout was Rs 1,645,920, with each player receiving Rs 65,040, including their portion of the ticket sales earnings.
Head coach Urjan Shrestha received Rs 50,000, while assistant coaches Shasendra Dhimal and Raju Singh Maharjan were awarded Rs 25,000 each. Team manager Rabin Khadka and physio Anish Budathoki also received Rs 25,000 each for their contributions.
