Intel's Battlemage desktop GPUs are only days away
Intel’s desktop gaming graphics division might face financial scrutiny, but the company’s Arc lineup isn’t bowing out just yet. According to Intel is gearing up to reveal the Arc B580 and B570 graphics cards on December 3rd, with a full launch, including media reviews, scheduled for December 12th.
Instead, leaked specifications hint at modest capabilities. For instance, an Amazon listing suggested that the Arc B580 might feature 20 Xe2 cores, a 2.8GHz clock speed, and 12GB of GDDR6 memory running at 19Gbps. Despite its lower specs, the card appears designed for efficiency, with variants requiring either one 8-pin PCIe connector and two axial fans or a more robust design with three fans and dual connectors. The card will reportedly utilize a PCIe 5.0 x8 connection for motherboard compatibility.
Pricing could make these GPUs particularly appealing. Rumors from retailer leaks, highlighted by Momomo_us, suggest Intel’s own “Limited Edition” Arc B580 might debut at a competitive $250. This price point could position Intel as a strong contender in the budget graphics card market, shaking up a segment that has seen limited innovation and affordability since the pandemic-era GPU shortages.
Full specifications and features will likely be confirmed on Tuesday, leaving little time for speculation. If Intel delivers on performance and price, the Arc B580 and B570 could provide welcome relief for gamers seeking affordable hardware without compromising too much on capabilities.
