Kathmandu traffic police penalizes 800 thousand drivers for traffic violations
KATHMANDU: In the past ten months of the current fiscal year, the Kathmandu traffic police office has penalized 804,272 drivers from Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, and Lalitpur for traffic violations. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jeevan Kumar Shrestha, the spokesperson for the traffic police, disclosed that these drivers were charged for various infractions of traffic regulations.
As a result of these penalties, a total of Rs 578.4 million was collected in revenue. This significant amount underscores the enforcement efforts undertaken by the traffic police to ensure compliance with traffic laws and regulations in the Kathmandu Valley.
