RSP Chairman Lamichhane praises Dr. Dhakal's recommendations
KATHMANDU: Chairman Rabi Lamichhane of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has publicly praised the recent recommendations put forth by the party's General Secretary, Dr. Mukul Dhakal, following his extensive nationwide assessment tour. Lamichhane, who also holds the position of Home Minister, expressed his optimism about Dhakal's observations during a media briefing on Thursday morning.
When the media questioned Lamichhane about Dhakal's worries about the state of the party now and the need for operational changes, he gave a favorable response, saying, "Dr. Dhakal has shown sincere concern for our party. After conducting a comprehensive review and gathering feedback from the public, he emphasized the importance of careful treatment rather than drastic measures. This approach is reassuring and in line with our expectations."
The RSP had dispatched Dhakal on an internal review tour following a significant setback in the Ilam by-elections. Engaging with over 2079 citizens across 38 districts, Dhakal returned to Kathmandu and promptly submitted his findings to Chairman Lamichhane the next day, highlighting potential issues that could lead to a party crisis.
