Rabi Lamichhane accuses PM Oli of corruption
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli was accused by Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), of being extensively involved in corruption during his presence at the Kaski District Court. "Over the past year and a half, PM Oli has been instrumental in causing suffering to the people and falsely framing me," said Lamichhane, who was arrested in a joint fraud case.
As he was brought to Pokhara for his court appearance, Lamichhane claimed that the government, led by Oli, was still targeting innocent people. He maintained that in order to end the ongoing injustice, the current government must be overthrown.
Lamichhane, a former Home Minister, claimed that PM Oli would be exposed as the most corrupt individual in the nation after a comprehensive inquiry. He expressed confidence that the truth will come to light and reaffirmed his faith in the legal system.
Seeing this as the government's last effort to keep power and carry on injuring the people, he underlined his dedication to the judicial system.
The government's strategies, according to Lamichhane, are intended to trap decent people in fictitious cases for political advantage. He called on the people of Nepal to band together against the existing regime, both in Pokhara and outside.
In his speech, Lamichhane urged citizens to take collective action and portrayed the conflict as a larger battle against injustice and corruption.
The political atmosphere has become more heated as a result of his firm position and direct charges against Prime Minister Oli, which have further energized his supporters and fueled continuous demonstrations.
