President assigns deputy PM Prakash Man Singh to oversee government functions
KATHMANDU: Prakash Man Singh, the Minister for Urban Development and Deputy Prime Minister, has been designated by President Ram Chandra Paudel to supervise day-to-day administrative duties while Prime Minister KP Oli is away.
Prime Minister Oli has left for the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In accordance with the Nepalese Constitution, the President's decision implements the Prime Minister's suggestion, enabling Singh to oversee the administrative responsibilities during Oli's absence.
This temporary arrangement ensures the continuity of governance during the Prime Minister's international engagement.
