PM Dahal urges intellectuals to promote positivity and guard against misinformation
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has condemned those spreading misinformation and negativity, asserting that such actions damage the nation’s interests. During the sixth national conference of the Nepal Intellectuals’ Organization, he highlighted the necessity of cultivating hope and positive thinking among the population.
PM Dahal emphasized the crucial role intellectuals play in steering society toward progress. He urged them to openly support the historical contributions to the country’s development, stating, “A message should be disseminated positively in favor of forces that contributed to history. You [intellectuals] should speak and write openly in favor of changes without any hesitation.”
Recalling the significant involvement of intellectuals in political changes, Dahal mentioned their participation in the revolt, peace process, and constitution-making. He urged intellectuals to resist anti-change activities and to foster positivity and hope within society, emphasizing it as their duty.
Dahal stressed the need for intellectuals to guide the public mandate towards socialism, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to safeguard the revolution's achievements and build the ideological foundation for socialism. Despite recognizing the challenges ahead, he reaffirmed his dedication to establishing socialism in the country.
