PM Dahal highlights budget discussion challenges in parliament session
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' condemned the lack of budget consideration, blaming it on Parliament's dysfunction. During a session in the House of Representatives on Thursday, he addressed concerns raised by Nepali Congress MP Tejulal Chowdhury. Dahal expressed his determination to reform the government's policies, programs, and budget formulation processes. However, he highlighted that the irregularities in parliamentary proceedings were impeding these efforts and preventing the desired outcomes from being achieved.
In response to MP Chaudhary’s query about disparities in budget allocations among constituencies, Prime Minister Dahal reassured that measures were being taken to ensure balanced budget distribution. He emphasized that the government was actively engaged in conducting inclusive consultations with all political parties to achieve harmony in budgetary allocations.
During the 'direct question and answer program with the Prime Minister,' Dahal outlined his plans to streamline the budget formulation process and improve governance policies. He underscored the importance of parliamentary functionality in enabling effective policy reforms and budget management initiatives.
