PM Dahal engaged in courtesy meeting with Indian Union Cabinet Minister S Jaishankar
KATHMANDU: During his visit to India, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' engaged in a courtesy meeting with India's newly-appointed Union Cabinet Minister S Jaishankar. This encounter occurred on Monday at Hotel Taj, where Prime Minister Dahal is currently accommodated. The discussions primarily revolved around bilateral relations, mutual cooperation, and the implementation of previous agreements and understandings between the two nations.
In the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal extended congratulations to Jaishankar on his recent appointment and conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure. He expressed optimism regarding the enhancement of mutual relations and people-to-people ties between Nepal and India in the foreseeable future.
In response, Minister Jaishankar expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Dahal and the Government of Nepal for their participation in the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reiterated India's commitment to fulfilling the agreements and understandings with Nepal, underscoring the progress achieved thus far as satisfactory.
