PM Dahal criticizes being labeled 'unstable'
KATHMANDU: Speaking during the Unified Socialist Party's 10th national conference in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal expressed his displeasure at the party's programmatic document's designation of him as unstable. He highlighted the historical significance of his acts, claiming that his perceived instability was the reason behind the start of the "People's War".
PM Dahal highlighted his longstanding collaboration with Madhav Kumar Nepal since the Panchayat era in defending democracy, underscoring the need for unity among left-wing factions. He urged for initiatives promoting ideological and organizational cohesion within the left, with a call for the Nepali Congress to play a constructive role in this endeavor.
Addressing criticisms regarding anti-corruption efforts during his tenure, PM Dahal reaffirmed his commitment to combating corruption and called for a unified approach among patriotic and left-wing forces to fulfill public aspirations for good governance and social justice.
Expressing disappointment over the label of instability, PM Dahal asserted that without his perceived instability, the current government wouldn't have been formed. He stressed the importance of respect and unity among all forces dedicated to advancing national progress and governance reforms.
